𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁! 𝗗𝗢𝗟𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝟭 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝟮𝟵𝟮 𝗚𝗼𝘃’𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀
Overview:
Are you a dependent of a minimum wage earner? Are you 18-30 years old? Are you a high school graduate with no work experience yet? Are you willing to work for three months in any government office within Region 1?
If yes, then this opportunity is for you!
The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office 1 (DOLE RO1) is looking for 292 interns under the Government Internship Program (GIP). They will work beginning this August and up to November 2022.
Each GIP intern will receive P370 stipend per day.
DOLE Regional Director Atty. Evelyn R. Ramos emphasizes that for this GIP batch, priority is given to dependents of minimum wage earners, to help alleviate the effects of inflation to poor families in the region.
Minimum wage earners are those receiving P312 to P370 daily rate.
“The DOLE, through the leadership of Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, feels for the parents and breadwinners who are earning minimum wage. Hence, we offer this program to enable their capable children or dependents earn for themselves and augment their family’s income,” said RD Ramos.
“Likewise, we give these young people the opportunity to gain work experience, and open them access to enter government service which may propel their careers soon,” she added.
The DOLE RO1 has allocated the amount of P 7,318,910 for the program. It shall fund the wages and insurance coverage of the interns.
The GIP interns will be deployed to various government agencies across the region. These include local government units (LGUs), regional line agencies, and other provincial/satellite/field offices.
What are the Qualifications?
- At least High School / Senior High graduate or its equivalent under ALS
- Between 18-30 years old (except those potential beneficiaries from areas hit by a natural disaster, man-made calamities, or affected by armed conflicts, and where government regulations that caused replacements were implemented)
- Without work experience (except those potential benefiaries from areas hit by a natural disaster, man-made calamities, or affected by armed conflicts, and where government regulations that caused replacements were implemented)
- Dependent of minimum wage earner
What are the Requirements?
- Any of the following:
- Transcript of Records (College Level / College Graduate)
- Form 137 / 138 (High School graduate)
- Certification of Graduation ( Voc-Tech Graduate)
- Any certification from school or any equivalent to this effect
- Certification from the establishment that their parent / guardian is a minimum wage earner
