About NEDA

The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), as mandated by the Philippine Constitution, is the government’s independent socioeconomic planning body. NEDA’s beginning can be traced back to 1935, when the Commonwealth Act created the National Economic Council (NEC). The NEC had undergone various reconstitutions and integrations with other economic councils through Presidential Decree 107, which then established NEDA.

It was reorganized on July 22, 1987 in accordance with Executive Order No. 230 to enhance its ability to coordinate the development planning and policy formulation process.

Qualification Standard:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, public policy, development studies, or other social science-related fields
EXPERIENCE: At least one year of relevant experience in providing policy coordination, formulation, review, and advocacy; project or program review; and monitoring. Experience in data management, analysis, and visualization is a plus.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics or related degree in either communications, community development, research and development management (R&DM), technology management (TM), innovation economics, science or engineering, or related courses
EXPERIENCE: One year of relevant work experience in communications, advocacy, R&D research and/or monitoring is an advantage
TRAINING: 4 hours relevant training
