We are informing the public that the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) is now accepting applicants for Jail Officer 1 for the recruitment with the following qualifications:

  1. A citizen of the Republic of the Philippines;
  2. A person of good moral character;
  3. Must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests for the purpose of determining his/her physical and mental health;
  4. Must possess a baccalaureate degree from a recognized institution of learning;
  5. Must possess appropriate eligibility (Second Level eligibilities: CSE-Professional, RA 1080, and Penology Officer Examination, etc);
  6. Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed for cause from previous employment;
  7. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
  8. Must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62 m.) in height for male, and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57 m.) for female; and
  9. Must weigh not more or less than five kilograms (5 kgs.) from the standard weight corresponding to his/her height, age and sex.

Basic Requirements for JO1 Applicants

  1. Fully accomplished Personal Data Sheet (PDS) with a recent passport-sized picture (CS Form No. 212, Revised 2017).
  2. Original Birth Certificate issued by the PSA.
  3. Transcript of Records and Diploma ( Authenticated ).
  4. Authenticated Certificate of Eligibility or Board Rating (w/ photocopy of PRC ID).
  5. A copy of the Marriage Certificate (PSA) – for married applicants.
  6. Photocopy of the following: NBI Clearance, Police Clearance, and Barangay Clearance.
  7. Photocopies of Court clearances (Office of the Prosecutor, MTC, and RTC).
  8. Photocopy of NCIP/NCMF Certificate (if necessary).


BJMP JO1 Salary and Benefits

As a Jail Officer 1 in BJMP, you will receive a base pay of P29,668 per month (salary grade 10). Moreover, you shall receive an allowance, medical and dental benefits, longevity pay, etc. A hazard pay of P540 a month is also given.

  7. Photocopy of NBI Clearance
  8. Photocopy of Police Clearance
  9. Photocopy of Barangay Clearance
  10. Photocopy of Court clearances
    • Fiscal Clearance
    • Regional Trial Court Clearance
    • Municipal Trial Court Clearance
  11. Photocopy of NCIP/OMA Certificate (if applicable)
